How Mini Baccarat Works
All the rules you need to know — covered in four simple tabs
In Mini Baccarat, card values are simpler than most card games. Aces count as 1.
Cards 2 through 9 are face value. Tens, Jacks, Queens, and Kings all count as zero —
effectively worth nothing in the total calculation.
Hand totals only use the rightmost digit of the sum. So a 7 and an 8 don't give you
15 — they give you 5. A 9 and a 9 total 18, which counts as 8. The maximum hand
value in baccarat is 9, which is called a "natural" and is the best possible result.
A natural 8 is the second best. Both naturals end the hand immediately — no third
card is drawn.
This single-digit scoring system is what makes baccarat so fast and easy to follow —
even first-time players from Cebu or Davao who have never played a card game in a
casino setting usually understand the scoring within two rounds of watching.
At the start of each round, the dealer (or in 554 pub's live rooms, the on-screen
live host) deals two cards face-up to both the Player hand and the Banker hand.
In Mini Baccarat, the dealer handles all card actions — you simply place your bet
and watch.
If either hand totals 8 or 9 on the initial two cards, that's a natural. The hand
ends immediately and bets are settled. If neither hand has a natural, the Third
Card Rule determines whether a third card is drawn for the Player, the Banker,
or both.

Player draws a third card if the
Player total is 0–5. Player stands on 6 or 7.
Banker draws a third card based on
a more complex rule set: if the Banker total is 0–2, Banker always draws. If the
Banker total is 3–6, whether the Banker draws depends on the value of the Player's
third card (if one was drawn). If the Banker total is 7, Banker always stands.
You never have to memorise these rules at 554 pub — the software applies them

The rules are built in; your only job is to choose Player, Banker, or Tie before
each round begins.
Player win: Pays 1:1 (even money).
Bet ₱500, win ₱500 profit.
Banker win: Pays 0.95:1 (5%
commission deducted). Bet ₱500, win ₱475 profit. The commission reflects the
Banker's statistical advantage.
Tie: Pays 8:1. Bet ₱100, win
₱800 profit. On a Tie result, Player and Banker bets are returned (pushed) unless
your bet was specifically placed on Tie.
